Question looking for a fuel sending unit

My buddy has a 1995 Chevy RV with a P 30 chassis with an 80 gallon fuel tank. He is looking for the fuel sending unit and says the one that fits the 60 gallon tank won't work.

Any ideas of how to get one? Any experience with using the 60 gallon fit or aftermarket parts now?

I think he is just measuring the over length, and hasn't really tried it. He is afraid he'll run out of gas.

Any ideas greatly appreciated

Not knowing which engine, I assumed its a 7.4 gas. According to napa prolink, this would be the correct part (fits both 60 and 80 gallon units)
