10 Reasons RV Vacations are Better

My wife and I put together a fun list for the Jayco Journal about "10 Reasons Why RV Vacations are Better." I thought some of you might enjoy it. What other reasons can you think of? I'd like to put together a "10 More Reasons List." So if you want to share your ideas please do.

11. Use your own wash room
12. No extra baggage fees

When I die, I want to go peacefully like my grandfather did–in his sleep. Not yelling and screaming like the passengers in his car.

Those are 10 great things! #2 cracks me up. I've been given a million floor plan tours as well. Campers are generally kind and generous people.

If I were to add a few:

#13 No property taxes on this vacation home and it can be moved from a lake to woods to a river.

#14 Ultimate vacation flexibility. You can go leave anytime, and go anywhere at a moments notice.

#15 (The biggest reason for me because I spend 4 days a week in airports traveling) NO AIRPORTS. No TSA, no delays, no airport food...The list goes on.

#17 - No rental car / taxi expense. Come and go at your leasure with your own vehicle.
This of course depends on what RV you have.

#18 Flexibility. Able to go where I want when I want and see what I want with only one reservation whose time won't change.

#19 - If I see a hair on the bed sheets, I know it's mine or my wife's.
As a pilot, I travel A LOT. I can tell you even in the best hotels, the rooms all look the same and rarely do they have a scenic view out the window. When I can vacation, the last thing I want to do is get in another airplane and stay in another hotel.
