We have booked a few trips already, starting with Easter, then labour day for our annual crabbing weekend and a trip for Canadian thanksgiving which is in the states of all places. We actually camp in the states a lot. I haven't been on this site much lately, hopefully I will make a point of stopping by more often. This site has really grown, we are hoping to have our earliest start of the season ever camping from February 19-21. We will be heading to Arizona for a week to see our daughter whose softball team she coaches heads to Tucson for a tournament in March. This will be a non camping week. hopefully we can match our total nights camping from last year.

Silver lake is a nice area also. You can go 4- wheeling on sand dunes overlooking Lake Michigan in your vehicle or rent dune buggies. Nice sightseeing in the area also.

We have a trip to Blue Springs SP Florida scheduled 1st week in April, (had to postpone our January trip due to illness). After that a 4 day weekend trip to State College, Pa in May for granddaughter's graduation from Penn State. Booked 18 day trip to Colorado to visit Son, DIL, & Grandson in July. Hoping to book a Maine trip for September but have to wait until 2/8/16 to reserve. Will sneak in a couple of weekend trips between now & October.
Whew, starting to fill up the Calendar.

And booked a weekend at Lake Wappapello State Park. First time to RV camp there. Boy Scout camped quite a bit in the past years.

Memorial Day we are camping right here at home with some family members, as they are having a Hot Air Ballon festival about a mile from my home. Given the traffic that will bring, we are staying here and sitting on the porch watching the ballots all weekend. We may walk over to the field and see them up close and personal too.

We were at Sugar Mill RV Resort outside Thomasville, last month and will be in Tallahassee this afternoon for the Florida State Good Sam Rally. Have trips planned each month for the rest of the year. With the good weather we have in South Georgia, it is always camping season! Happy Camping To All!

Hope your staying at the State Park, if so beach access parking is free. We enjoyed the Sea N Suds, not fancy but good food and on the water and they line up for a hundred yards on weekend nights so try Sunday through Thursday or get there early. If you want to go out for breakfast then go to Hazels Nook in Gulf Shores, maybe five miles from the park. If you like the "big party" type place LuLu's is a must! Jimmy Buffets sister owns it, good food, often live music and lots of expensive souvenirs!

Mothernaturesson. Thanks for the reply. Loved the pictures in your album. We are planning to stay at the state park, it looks like the best anywhere around. Your camp site looked awesome. What number was it? Zooming in on google map look like the ones on live oak rd. are great. 21 thru 37. All the sites look big and private. Really want to see the USS. ALABAMA. Go parasailing, toes in the sand and out to eat a few times. Going to make reservations about 2 months out.

We have seven days reserved in July at Duck Creek in Utah. Looks like this will be a good summer spot. It's about 145 Miles further than we've gone the last two years. I posted a question in the campgrounds and attractions thread about it and apparently no one on here has been there.

Anybody have recommendations for Nice spacious Camping in Quebec. Maybe 3 - 4 hours out of Ottawa? Not interested in Sardine parks, just National/Prov CG's with lots of space and privacy similar to Ont Parks.
Kayaking and Hiking trails would be nice.

Thanks in advance.

If memory serves it was #27, everything on Live Oak is nice but the lower numbers where more wide open. When you get there ask them what's open, even if you have reserved, they are very flexible. Have fun and enjoy the trip, were jealous!!

PS. If you bring bikes they have miles of paved trails.

Beautiful area! We went there a couple of years ago and had a great time. The daughter and her husband camped at Gulf State Park, the ocean is across the road. It has a lot of amenities.

As far as eating goes we went to a place called The Tackle Box and the "Hot" place to go is called Lulus. Be sure and take in a dolphin cruise, the family really enjoyed that too.
