2016 Precept 31UL Air Conditioner Woes
We purchased our Precept in June 2015. The day we took it home, the air conditioner did not work (among other things). 1 week later we were able to get it back to the dealer. To make a long story short..... after multiple tries by the dealer's maintenance shop... the problem has not been fixed. We are at a loss as to what to do now. Anyone else have this problem?? I am ready to give this RV back to them.

Without warning the A/C will switch to HOT air coming from the defroster!!

Dash A/C
Yes, sorry about that, it is the Dash A/C. Ford checked their part of it and said everything was working fine. Our dealer has tried 3 times, the last being in September, and then said they couldn't get to it until December. Then in December they said they couldn't get to it until February!

You are a patient man. I would be escalating that to Jayco. Others have posted a customer service # for MH's on here.

Obviously another inept service department.

service ?
I'm very frustrated. First they said the hoses were put on backwards...then they said it was installed backwards at the factory!!! I spoke to the manager about this and that I was ready to return this vehicle to him. I was questioning the quality of the product... and he told ME that made HIM angry! Really?!

As norty1 said I would be on the phone to JAYCO since the dealer really doesn't appear to want to fix it.

I called JAYCO and told them what has been going on. I was told I could take my Precept to any RV repair shop and have them contact JAYCO directly before repairs and get a quote of the repair reimbursement price. Sounds great.... but every place I've gone to said they don't like dealing with warranty work because they don't pay a fair price. SO they all want US to pay for the repair and then "try" and get our money back from JAYCO. I am seriously regretting my purchase!!!!!

Fix?
Travelbug,
Were you able to get this fixed? If yes, can you share what the problem was?
We have the same problem.
Thanks

Unfortunately no. We are forced to run the generator for cool air. The last tech's suggested "fix" was to install an additional fan in the engine area because he claims that the system requires airflow to generate cool air (which doesn't explain why it doesn't work while driving). We've had some additional problems with this unit and "fixes" that haven't work and are so frustrated that we are trading in this unit and staying away from Jayco altogether. I wish you the best.
