We took a seasonal at Twin Oaks in NY. Since we are retired we come and go as we please for 6 months. So we leave our country mountain lake home to come to a country mountain lake camper. Love it. Beautiful sites, nice atmosphere for kids, activities for all.

Don't camp out on July Fourth as we have one of he oldest Fourth of July parades in the US and probably the most fun citizen fireworks displays in the country. The city puts on a show in one small area of the town, but the balance of the citizens start shooting off rockets, etc. around 9:00 pm and continue non-stop until around midnight and, if you are in the center of our small town, the display is a 360 degree non-stop delight. We do however, take off shortly after that and spend about a week in Grand Teton National Park, three hour drive from our front door, at Colter Bay and celebrating our anniversary on the deck of a pizza place situated on Jackson Lake and overlooking one of the most magnificent sights in the country.

Kettletown SP

We will be camping at Kettletown SP in Western CT. Never been to this campground before, but I think I got a decent site. Alcohol free campground so it will generally keep the crazies away. Can't pass up a 3 day weekend and camping on the 4th of July is as patriotic I you can get! We will have many flags flying!
