A tip to share
Hey. A camper I go with shared this tip
Put one of those rv jacks you know the old fashioned screw top ones. Under the flip out stair.
Greatly reduces wiggle when getting in and out. You just put it under there and snug it up.

I have seen people use an old scissors jack for a car. This way it is very adjustable, for the variance of the grade.

I use a pair of Camco Save-A-Step support jacks on my fold out steps. The steps are only bolted to the floor of the trailer with 2 carriage bolts and I can see them being pulled through the floor by my gravitationally challenged brother in law.
I bought them off Amazon and if I remember correctly are available in a couple of height ranges to accomodate any RV. A very worthwhile investment in my opinion.

Camping World has the step stabilizers for $13.49. Their website says "on line only", but I saw them in my local store today.

I took the bottom half of the step stabilizer in to work, chucked it up in the lathe and machined the square pad into a circle. It makes it easier to adjust because the corners don't catch on irregularities of the ground...roots, rocks, uneven asphalt. I left the upper part square.

I have the fold down one that screws into the bottom step. I picked it up for about $8 at a PPL tent sale in Houston. I test fitted it, found out it was probably going to be too tall. So since I didn't really pay a whole lot for it, I cut about 1" out of the body, and 1" off the threaded rod. Smoothed off the cut ends, and butted them together with some JB weld and a piece of PVC and some hose clamps. Threaded the rod back in, and I'm GTG!
Looks GREAT  and works great too!

I use a couple of small turnbuckles (like the ones on screen doors that keep the door square) with small flat plates welded on the ends. These are screwed to the step, and are adjustable for the terrain. Total cost was about $2.50 for the pair, plus 10 minutes of time with my welder.
