access when slide is closed

Was looking at a 2015 white hawk 24RKS. Does anyone know if you can access the bathroom when slide is closed.

we can access the bathroom on our 2013 27DSRL, and if I recall correctly, all the other White Hawks we looked at allowed BR access with slide in. It would be a major design retrograde if Jayco removed that feature on 2015 models, in my view. Having access to the BR while on the road, w/o extending slide, should be a major design goal. ...

Don't know about the 24rks but my 24fbs has no bathroom access when slide is closed. Inconvienent but not a big deal to us. We just open the slide 2' and do our number. We thought that we liked the floor plan so much that it would not sway our decision...and it was the right one for us. Good luck and happy camping.

Our 351 RLTS, the bathroom is ok but the living area storage requires climbing over to access.

We were worried about this too and it was affecting our decision on certain units. But in the end, we also bought the 24 FBS and yes, one does need to put the slide out a tad to access the biffy. But it takes 2 minutes and just like the other poster, we loved so much else about the floor plan we decided we could live with it.

Hope I'm wrong about the White Hawk, but I don't think you can. I have the Eagle 266RKS, which is very similar. The sofa comes right up to the corner of the bathroom, and there's only about 6-7" of space between the wardrobe and the bathroom wall. If you were already in the bedroom, there shouldn't be a problem. But, alas, you don't have an exterior door in the bedroom. On my only outing to date, I found out it wasn't that big a deal to open up the slide a foot or so when you stop. Just don't forget to put it back in before you leave!

On our 2011 26rls, the bathroom was not accessible with the slides closed. Jayco installed the bathroom door on the wrong side opposite way of the floor plan. Dealer reversed it for us under warranty. Then we could access the bathroom from the outside bedroom door only but the water pump button was in the kitchen area. We had to open both doors, go to the kitchen turn on pump, go to the outside bedroom door to get to the bathroom and then come back to the outside kitchen door to turn off the pump. After the first 6 months we had the dealer install a water pump switch in the bathroom while it was in for warranty work. It was a great mod. We ended up trading it in on the Eagle which we can access the TT from front to back. Loving it now.

We can access the bathroom and bedroom only. Without putting out the main huge slide we could not get into the living area. But on the road all we need is the bathroom, so we're good.

We cannot get in the bathroom on our 2014 WH 30DSQB without letting the slide out a foot or two.

On the 33bhbs you can only access the BR through the back door / bedroom with the slides closed. Not a big deal unless we plan on stopping at a roadside rest stop for sleep. The kids from up front would need to go out the front door in the back door to get into the bathroom. Not great, but doable.

2015 White Hawk 25bhs - and yes, you can shimmy past the kitchen counter/table without opening the slide.

Don't know about your model, but we can access the bed, bathroom and kitchen with the slide in on our x213...,it was those features that won us over to the x213. It is nice not having to put the bed slide out for those overnighters when we are on a long trip

Just realized that the bathroom door in our 2015 27DSRL is installed opposite of what is shown on the Jayco website! We noticed that if you let the door swing all the way open (slide extended) it would smack the refer door but chalked it up to poor design. Now I see that maybe it was simply installed incorrectly. Jayco you got some 'splainin' to do!

Yours isn't the only one: We have a 2015 Jay Flight 27RLS on order. Looking online at the same year and model on dealer lots, I see the bathroom door with some hinged on the right, others on the left.

All the way open one way it would interfere with the pantry and fridge doors ; the other way it would interfere with the entertainment center and TV . I know which I prefer. I wonder which we'll get (and keep the bathroom door closed ).

Our 27DSRL bathroom door hinges on the same wall as the television (opposite the refrigerator wall). Sounds like you got yours mounted the wrong way? I can access the bathroom from the kitchen or the bedroom with the slide in.
