Accessories that don't work well
Maybe that's a thread we need to start: Accessories that just don't seem to work well.....
I personally don't like the accordion style sewer hose supports.

All the years of camping and those never appealed to me either.

Think I used ours once.... And only time it ever came out of the tt again was to get to something else underneath it, until I finally removed the darn thing. Lol
Trout,
They should install a Fantastic fan or even the Vortex I think it is....
Just another mod for us I guess.

[neat thread!]
Sway Command.
It is installed so high on tt that when driving during the day you can not see if it's green, yellow, or red. You can see it if you walk up and look at it from the topside though. Also can see the lights at dusk or night. Perhaps if placed lower on the diamond plate where it's at an angle?
Right now, not going to help us when towing during the day
(fyi- with the 3/4 ton with intergrated sway control and Equalizer hitch, we don't notice much sway if at all, so maybe we wasted our money )

Didn't cost much but that silly "cushion" designed to insulate and block light from coming through a ceiling vent. Bought it, carried it for a few years, tossed it....l

Hahahah! We used that (from our last tt) as a filler in the pantry of our new tt when it isn't filled so the cans don't bounce all over the place when driving lol

Original ceiling fan (not vent fan). Even on high it didn't move much air. When it died I replaced it with a larger 52" fan from Home Depot. Serious air mover and is remote control too.

I wish I had invented the sewer hose supports, I would never use them myself but the money from sales would be nice. I think the most worthless thing I ever purchased for a camper was a propane Gage, the stick on the side thing that changes colors. Didn't cost much but it proved one of my wife's claims that I can't be trusted to go shopping without supervision.

For me its the peel n stick puck lights. I put them under the cabinet in the slide out. They never stayed for more than a week and the batteries never last long.

Some of the newer LED units are pretty good! Bright, plus you can get ba full season on a pair of AA batteries.... I buy the better foam tape at Home Depot for them, though...

I tried a few different brands and tape before I decided that I didn't need them anyway.

I really like the fake sheepskin foam roof vent insulation thing.
But I have to agree that the magnetic propane "gauge" is a useless accessory.
I'd like to add the sewer elbow with the flush connection on it as useless for me. Salesman said it was easy way to rinse tank and he recommended it. (I was brand new). He didn't mention that the tank valve is in the middle of the trailer, and there is no way the water is going to shoot up there and magically make the 90 degree bend with enough flow/pressure to do anything.

The monitor panel it's never right and after six weeks of continuous use it is unnecessary
You can tell when tanks are empty and full and we know how many nights the battery will work dry camping

We have accordion-style sewer hose supports. We didn't think we'd like them, but they're working fine for us. Lucky, I guess. We have also had good luck with the peel-and-stick puck lights. We love them over the pantry shelves.

We can see ours. The dealer installs the lights not Jayco. Go talk to your dealer
It's saved us several times in high crosswinds on the Great Plains on this trip
It is worth it and really the lights aren't required. It operates independently of your actions
