Accident in Michigan

Saw this accident today on US-131 in Grand Rapids Michigan. Not a good picture but the TV looks small.

Looks big enough. More likely driver error.

Looks like a pathfinder or maybe an armada. Hope no one was injured.

the local news is reporting that no one was hurt. The said that it jack knifed and is facing the wrong way on the highway. It happens before lunch, and none of the articles have been updated to explain what happened.

you can see the specs from the picture???? amazing

It is a 3 ton Vehicle with a rated 9000lb towing capacity towing a mid size trailer...thats what I see

You dont need a big diesel truck for everything

My "guess" is that the driver was distracted and over-compensated the steering and couldn't recover. Or high winds? Either way, it ruind their day

you want me to post some videos of big diesel trucks getting tossed around?..just saying

There is no way anyone knows what happened. Deer on roadway, got cut off, blow out, broken hitch, heart attack, wind sheer(which has toppled big diesel trucks)
But to say a full size Nissan Armada can't haul a decent sized travel trailer is just silly.

Lol, not upset at all just that there is another forum on this great WWW called RV.net and I avoid it like the plague because of all the speculation and conjecture on there. Just that your statement was not based on any facts. It looks like a outback rear slide which would have a GVWR under 6000 lbs which is 3000 under the TV's limit.

And a thread regarding this accident was started and flogged to death by the accident reconstruction 'experts' there. Four pages worth and counting.

Unfortunate incident, hope the driver/family if any, was not hurt.

Sometimes folks don't know what they don't know................
