Accident with tv and trailer

Well unfortunately our great 2 week vacation in disney came to a end and we were coming home today on 95 in Virgina and someone decided to change lanes and nail my truck and trailer. My wife saw it happen but there was nothing I could do to stop it,luckily.my wife and 5 yr old were fine.As far as the truck goes, passenger side bed is destroyed, the trailer actually did most of the damage to her car as she knocked me sideways. However the front cap corner is shattered and it spider cracked the entire side of front cap and the metal fascia at the bottom is gouged and bent.Overall the trailer will need a new front cap and fascia replaced. The driver was under the influence of some thing and the police let us go and gave her tests as I just wanted to get the hell out of there.I'm just glad I was able to control my truck as it threw me into another lane and thankfully I didn't get hit on that side or trailer rear ended.I will try to post pictures of trailer tomorrow

Those type are the worst. You just were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Thanks God no one was injured and pray that her insurance is a good one.

Things can be fixed!

Thank goodness everyone is ok. Hopefully, if she has insurance it will take care of your damage. Too many times, people are driving with no insurance. That's one reason I make sure I carry under insured and non insured coverage.

Glad to hear you and the family are ok. I was rear-ended by an uninsured drunk driver last summer. It was a pain, but that is why we carry insurance.

All things considered that's minor damage. I'm glad you and your family are uninjured. Your truck can be replaced, the front of the trailer can be rebuilt. Thank God for miracles and I hope you get everything fixed by the start of next camping season!!!

Really does not look all that bad. I bet it still will be a lot of work to properly fix.

Yea the damage isn't that bad thank god and it could have been worse, for the amount of damage the trailer did to the rear of the other car I would have thought more would be broke,it crumbled the entire rear quarter panel of the minivan.Depending on how long it takes dealer to get a new front cap ordered I plan on using the trailer still,i just need some tape and caulk so it doesn't leak.I drove it over 600 miles like that and it was fine.Im not gonna let it ruin camping plus I go away for work in October for 30 days and really need the trailer. The picture of truck bed doesn't show how bad it really is,plus there is pretty much a dent along the entire side to the tail light,if you look on my step bar you can see where her tire first hit the truck, thank god they stick out further than the door or I would have more damage
