ALASKA or Bust

I've been getting ready for months. Leaving Monday, May 25 AM.
Two spares for trailer, two Honda 2000is on rear carrier, satellite mount. Installed new 1500 watt inverter with 3 deep cycle batteries so we can run TV and sat and heater for 2-3 days without recharging. Couple hours in the PM.
Generators just when needed. Taking Polaris RZR for ATV trips. Train trips and others reserved. First reservations June 10, at Denali Nat park, so plenty time to see Canada etc before then. Plan on being back in Texas around July 5-6.
I will start a new post and update daily,if I have service, for anyone wanting to follow along. I can send GPS tracker and glympse for anyone wanting realtime.

Awesome trip. We flew there a few years back, and rented a MH. Would love to go back.

Make sure to secure those genies, or they might grow legs, and wonder off.

We will be making a similar trek in July, but starting from FL. I like the hitch rack idea. I need to source a spare and a few gas cans.

I welded my on receiver on and re-drilled the rack hole so it pushes right up to the bumper and then I used some angle iron and screwed them to each other so there is no movement.

The RZR will take the place of the golf cart.

My Greyhawk has a hitch, but no spare, so I might see if I can get a custom hitch mounted tire and gas can carrier.

My DW and I have been talking about making that trip for several months now. I see from the picture of your TT license plate that you're from Texas - so are we.
If you don't mind, let us know which campgrounds you overnight at and give us a rating. I look forward to reading your daily posts.
Have a safe trip and enjoy!

I will be following your posts as I want to do this next year.
Also, I would lock up those generators one way or another. It will only take seconds to have them off of there with a nice sharp knife. Some people are desperate.

Yes, I have on the iPad as well. My TomTom will help tons as it Shows all Fuel stations, Rv parks etc. and how far.
We're taking the alternate route from Calagary towards Banif and Jasper national parks. We're planning 3 or more days on that 470 mile stretch.
Thanks for all the well wishes.
