Heading to Balloonfest next weekend. Anyone been there that can share insights of the on site camping there? Anyone going to be there?

I live here and plan on hooking on the F/W and leaving town. Where I park my RV they rent even the dry spaces for the Balloonfest. We always leave during it, the traffic is terrible. As for camping hope you have a spot already, they double and triple the cost of sites because they can.....
Take the park and ride shuttles, don't even try driving in for morning mass assent or evening balloon glow. Have a great time and bring plenty of money. Our economy here is terrible.

Like Loboclone said, they double the price for sites during the festival. I would start calling now looking for a site, most are booked a year ahead. I like the Isleta, it's an Indian Casino but has a nice RV sites and the foods good. It's a couple miles south of balloon fest but there are multi Park & rides to the festival.

Can't help with the campsite, but would love to make it myself one year.

24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a case. Coincidence? I think not.

I'm going next year. My parents live in Bernalillo so I can park in their driveway for a couple days (would rather not park there though). There is a ton of camping in northern N.M, how close do you need to be to the festival? You should easily be able to find a spot within... say 1 to 2 hours... Close in is going to be hard at this point.
