Another Andersen Leveler question
My tires are so close together that I would need to cut the maximum 4" off the one Andersen to get it to fit in between. Now how am I going to use the two without one getting stuck/wedged between the tires when leaving? Trying to visualize this and can't....ha ha ha

There are many videos on YouTube showing trailers backing on and driving off, just search Anderson leveler on YouTube, should give you a good idea..

Cut both so no need to get the "back one" or front one. Drive off levelers, pick up and stow. No issues.

I looked on You tube and they really don't show any videos of coming off them with axles so close together like mine. I just worry it will get wedged in between the tires without much clearance. I'd hate to cut them and then realize they don't work well in my situation then cannot return them. Does anyone have my same situation that uses them with no issue?

Cut one or both although I fail to see why you would want or need to cut the rear tire leveler!! They work just just fine!! I was slow to see there value but after using them, they are a must on my list.

I would think they both need to be the same, otherwise the rear one would start at a much lower height then the one in-between. So when backing up, both tires won't be the same height off the ground. I haven't used them myself but plan to buy a set.

I cut off 3 inches of one of mine. The difference in height is less then an inch on the axle height. Not near enough to make a significant difference in axle height when in use. Cutting one off and leaving the other its entire length does not make any real difference in it's over all use.

Would it really be a big deal if I only used one? I also use the stack jacks so that can support some of the weight on the camper.

Double check which ones that you purchased. Andersen has a regular leveler and a camper leveler which is designed to use on trailers with multiple axles.

I saw only one leveler—the camper leveler—on their website. There is a jack that looks similar but it's not for leveling.

Couple days late but I had to find out how to upload video. Leaving camp last weekend getting off the Andersons. DW removed between videos. Both are cut to accommodate not getting between the dual axles.

I place mine in front of the tires and pull forward to level. Once level and before I unhitch, I then place the chock/wedge under the back of the leveler to create a cradle that locks everything in place.
I suppose you could back off of them if your trailer hasn't shifted at all and you can safely remove the chock/wedge out from under the levelers first but I have found on more than one occasion, I can't get the wedges out easily so it's just easier to pull forward off the high side of the wedge that flips the levelers up as well as releases weight off of the chock/wedge.
Looks to me that is how he did it as well.

I pull forward onto the leveler just as blujay40 says above. I pull forward like the video shows. The delay in the first is waiting for the "start engine" on the old 7.3. I move forward and the DW gets the two pieces, pull forward a second time and the last two are free.
The hardest part to get accustom to is moving inches, not feet like the lego or wood blocks. I wouldn't go back to the old style after using these.

I would think that would be fine!
I can't think of any reason it would not be okay unless you have the refrigerator on.
