Anyone Know....

When the Jayco 2017 models come out?

The wife and I are looking to upgrade and she says maybe we should hold out for a few months to see what's new.

Dude, you could do that forever; I call it "analysis paralysis". There's always something new happening, so go ahead and do it.

But if you have questions, this is the place to get the help you need. Someone always has an answer.

I love that term "analysis paralysis." Think I probably suffer from that to some degree myself. We ordered ours end of April 2015 and that was right at the changeover to being a 2016 model at time of ordering. Received our 2016 mid July.

We didn't know changes though yet when we ordered. It was somewhat a shot in the dark.

I was told by a dealer that the model year change over was usually sometime in late May or early June.

The flip side to that is if you wait they start making decent discounts on previous year models that haven't sold.

We got what I think was a great deal on a 2016 Popup off the dealer lot. One of our requirements was a storage/carrier for our motorcycle. Got the 1201XR. We have been watching one on the lot for about 4 months now and decided to make the move. They had just put clearance pricing on it a few days earlier and we got them down from there. A few months ago we probably would have paid 2k more. I have always been an advocate of buying last years model. If you buy the latest and greatest, in a short period of time, it will also be last years model. Great savings on leftovers. From what the dealer told me, Jayco is streamlining the number of models they are going to offer and the one we bought will be discontinued.

Drone75, are you in Mooresville, NC? How long have you been there? Any restrictions on having your RV on private property?
I'm retired, living in Michigan, would love to get into the Lake Norman area.
Your thoughts and candor, please

We bought ours at the end of May 2015 the 2016 were hitting the lots. The dealer had both years on the lot. We got a really good deal on the 2015 and it didn't hurt that there was 4 other same models with in 350 miles.

We got our WH in early May as a 2015. Had ordered a 2014 that arrive mid-April, but the delivery driver damaged it so badly (don't know how) that the dealer wouldn't accept it. They immediately ordered a new one, but the line had already switched over, so we ended up with the 2015. Worked out to our benefit

We're in the middle of talking about getting a new eagle 284bhbe and were warned it'll be right across year change over season. The rep mentioned that even though it'll switch over you won't see much new at first. It seems it's a rolling process.

Yep. It seems with my NorthPoint I missed out on the LED lights in the toe kicks of the cabinets.

With my pervious CedarCreek I missed out on the redesigned front cap and the wireless remote system.

It's fun to have the first of the new model year, but you lose out in the end.

We were glad we didn't wait to buy our 2015 White Hawk 20MRB exactly one year ago as they no longer make this model.

Got to screw "Murphy's Law" once! (But it usually wins!)

Also, didn't have to wait as it was out of the dealer's stock.
