Aquarim in a eagle super lite?

Hello everybody,salutations from Texas,as the itle says t all,i live in a non-moving Eagle super lite and wanna get an aquarium,the RV is not moving how many gallons it can support?

If two grown men can stand side by side, and the each weigh 200 lbs, that's 400 lbs

400 lbs divided by 8 lbs per gallon = 50 gallons of water, or 40 gallons of water plus 80 lbs of tank and stand.......?

You may want to place the stand on top of a piece of plywood to distribute the weight

JMooney's statement does not take into account the weight of gravel, rock, the tank itself, the stand, pumps, and that someone might stand right next to the aquarium. Live load and dead load calculations are not quite this simple.

These trailers are designed to be lightweight a mobile. I would be cautious about loading them up with high undistributive loads. Heck, half the floors flex just from walking on them after a few years.

Water weights about 8 1/3 lb/gl. You also have to account for the weight of the aquarium, the stand, the rocks and gravel, filter, etc. I found 10 lb per gallon to be a good figure for estimating the total weight of an aquarium, not including the stand.

The floors in an RV are flimsy. It wouldn't be enough to just put a piece of plywood underneath the aquarium. The entire stand should be boxed in for strength and to spread out the load and should span the space between at least two frame cross members.

I live in a mobile home and I wouldn't trust its floor to handle more than the weight of a 10 gl tank.

A torsion box would be better. Easy to make and do not take up much more space. It could part of the aquarium stand bottom.

I would recommend a 40 breeder. They have a very nice footprint. Are you looking at running a fresh or saltwater tank? I currently have a 60 gallon cube reef tank. I love the hobby. Remember that when you add rocks and sand, you displace water. I don't think that will make much of a difference in the overall weight. The stand will add some weight, but not too much. I do aquariums professionally for a living, tell me your going to do freshwater?
I agree with the PP but would keep at 30 gallons to be safe unless your willing to reinforce the floor from under the trailer
