Personally love our 365BHS, but think their new 375 has just about the best floor plan I've seen. Very family friendly, but has a living room and kitchen setup that's very adult friendly. Hoping we can work out the finances because we'll be ordering us a new 375 very soon.

2013 Jayco 184 BH Jay Flight improvements needed:
1. Install electric outlet below radio, adjacent TV antennae receptacle instead of in the bunk area where it is factory located. This is an easy, cheap fix and a much more usable location.
2. Upgrade shower heads in outside and inside shower. The cheap plastic ones get brittle and crack within a couple of months at the threaded coupling. Especially the one outside due to heat and UV, in spite of the plastic locking cover.
3. Upgrade the kitchen sink faucet. The one installed weeps at the counter gasket (only when sink faucet is turned on and water running), causing water to pool behind the stove top. Being that there's a GFI electrical outlet on the wall behind the sink, pooling water is bad for items you may be charging such as cell phones, cameras, etc. (Yes, an almost new, high quality water pressure reducer is always utilized upstream of the water hook-up)

Jayco should replace the dark front cap on the 2013 - Eagle 284 BHS. While camping the surface temperature of the dark cap has reached 184 degrees and the inside of the cabinets on the backside of the cap reaches 134 degrees. The bad part is that the heat inside the cabinets radiates into the TT making it a lot warmer. In the late afternoon, the AC has to come on. This is my only MAJOR complaint. We try to pick sites that face north, but that does not always work out.

In the late aftrnoon, after the sun heats up the cap, the AC runs constantly. We use a solar reflective blanket over the cap which helps when we are parked facing the sun. Love the Eagle, except for the cap.

Light switch in bedroom would be nice and I miss the nightstands on either side of the bed we had in the Jay Flight.

Better foam in seat cushions and matress would be a BIG improvement.

1997 262FK Eagle
We looked for a long time for a trailer and ended up special ordering this one. The garden tub option gave us a great sized tub/shower and room for the stool. It has plenty of closet and storage space. Not one glitch with the wiring. Haven't changed out one light bulb. Plenty of well positioned outlets so nothing to complain about. Not much but there are two things. We ordered the metal venetian blinds and I've replaced 20 or more of the little plastic clips that hold them in place for transport. The last and most important to me is the tires. I fought a sway issue from day one never expecting it to be the tires but after the second failure and a new set of E rated tires, the issue disappeared. Jayco shouldn't be willing to sully their reputation by saving $10 a tire. If I were them, I'd consider it money well spent.

I would also like to add that they should have ditched the 13" wheel in favor of a 14". Makes locating a replacement D rated tire out away from home a lot easier.

Locating the furnace and its exhaust on the opposite side of the door. When you put a screen room on trailer the exhaust would not be in screen room. Making sure the sewage pipe is a proper height up off the ground. Have a Skylark and sewage pipe is way too low. If you are going to put sewage pipe storage on a trailer make sure it will take not only the slinky but the fittings. Neater job at caulking.

First of all, be a `Let's keep an American working company'. Whenever pratical, use material & components made in the USA, by American owned companies, preferably privately held. If they aren't working, they can't buy an RV! DUH!
Powered storage bin locks w/a remote.
Get rid of black appliances, use white or SS. I'm tired of cleaning dust & fingerprints off of them! Or make it an option.
Extend their Eco-Friendly impact by installing solar panels on ALL of their products' roofs.
And the wish list goes on to include autonomous cruise control, Extended SS tire valves installed in All wheels, TPMS as an option, hard wired surge suppressor as an option, AFFF fire suppression system option (Refrigerator compartment, engine compartment, geneator compartment, over the stove, & replace the stock fire extinguisher), Vanity basin option (color, in or above counter, shape), electric waste gates, etc.

Couldn't agree more. At least providing so sort of option to carry our bikes (front or back) without having to put them inside the trailer.

Are There Things You'd Like Jayco to Change?

Put a full length awning on the trailers. Our 97 302fk went the hole way. And are white hawk doesn't even cover both doors.

tlhdoc--I whole heartedly agree, I have gone to the extent to clip on some plastic to the top/ side seem to be able to see. The only other thing that I would like to see Jayco is raise the grey/black tank drain about 3".

I have a 28BHS. I would like to have a larger grey water tank, a light switch on the wall and a roof vent in the front bedroom.

Hey Jayco if you are reading this I would be more than happy to bring my trailer to you so you could do all these upgrades for me. Oh and I would be happy to pay for them too!

Send me a PM ;-)

Marty

Make the doors for outside storage at least as big as the storage area. It is tough getting things into the storage area through the tiny doors. How about an inspection of each trailer at the factor? I am sure they didn't make a dime on our trailer because of sloppy work at the factory that had to be fixed at the dealers. Our trailer was in for warranty work so many times for so many different things and most of the items could have been avoided with a slower production line and a real inspection. It seems that currently if they leave the factory with all four wheels turning it is ready for sale.

Do a better job sealing slides on the bottom when they are closed up. Seal all through holes as a process of manufacturing the units.
