You can also check the plastic hand crank on the vent. I had a pop up that would do that all the time, I asked my dealer about it and he said that the crank was most likely stripped out. I didn't believe him because the crank would close it and open it, but when I took the screw out and removed the crank it was stripped..The screw held it tight enough to operate the vent but when the wind would get under the vent going down the highway it would have enough pressure to open it.

Worth a try the cranks are cheap

I also vote for the MaxxAir. One of my fav self upgrades along with the vortex vent fan. leave our vent open almost all the time.
