Well my experience in that regard is that t-mobile takes care of its loyal customer . Two lines unlimited high speed no cap data. 85$ grandfathered plan. You can't get that any ware today and I would never be able to get it again if I left. Believe me it hasn't all been perfect but after nearly twenty years I've learned that being polite and speaking to the right people in customer RETENTION can often yield a desirable outcome.

In that respect then the answer depends very specifically as to where.

So, what we do is we have a couple of lines with T-Mobile - big data allowances and cheap and then we have a couple lines with Verizon. Between the two we always have good LTE coverage on something. With T-Mobile you can get so much more data access for the money and never overages so we use that to stream our content when we have good coverage - recognizing that sometimes we won't have good coverage. Verizon hasn't had good coverage everywhere we have been and believe it or not on Cape Cod a few weeks ago we got better coverage in our camp with T-Mobile. That's rare to be honest but does happen. It might not be the cheapest/optimal thing to do but actually having two carrier kind of works for us - we have 4 phones and 2 connected tablets in the family so we just kind of split them up.

Here is the rest of my post you are quoting;

"who has the best cell phone coverage?"

Yes indeed 'where' is part of a good discussion on 'best cell phone coverage'.

Talking about 'fantastic deals to get them to sign with them' and 'taking care of loyal customers' IMHO has nothing to do what the OP was asking and basically hijacks the thread.

If someone want to know about 'fantastic deals to get them to sign with them' and 'taking care of loyal customers' start a new thread with that as the topic.

Anyway back on this thread topic; Verizon coverage has worked for us wherever we have been and would not even think of changing for another provider.

So here's what I did...take it for what it's worth!

I've had AT&T for cell phones for 10 yrs now. Just my old plan when I had to get a personal cell phone for me and then my daughter this year. Coverage is ok. So I go a MiFi from Verizon and now I have the best of both worlds!

Retired from AT&T. Had AT&T concession account, got to FL, and their service was not that great. Went to AT&T to change over to a FL number and they could not match the Verizon plan. So I left AT&T for good and went to Verizon for my personal phone. Had a Sprint phone on one of the Auditing jobs I took down here (was tired of being retired) and traveled with both Verizon and Sprint... Ended up having to use my personal Verizon phone most of the time.

Went out west a few years ago with the TT and my daughter has ATT service and was mostly using our Verizon phones.

In the cities there was no difference.

Wish the satellite phone service was cheaper.

We have had both and have been happier with the coverage of Verizon.

Based on coverage alone: Verizon.

I do hate that Verizon forces so many unwanted apps down your throat.

Based on coverage, service quality, and customer service, Verizon. Our plan is pricey but I absolutely believe Verizon's service gives us value for the money. Had AT&T, dropped calls and sketchy service were the reasons we fled.
