Best portable BBQ

Any ideas on a good portable gas BBQ? We recently purchased our first TT and need to start getting it ready. Looking for something around 20,000 BTU's and big enough for 3-4 steaks.

Thanks,
Don

The webber portable.. we have the mis size one, not the smallest… They are really the best you can buy all around. You can also buy a really nice folding atnd the tucks away in your storage compartment.

This is the one I bought. Lightweight, and easy to handle. Fits easily in storage. Works on the small 1lb propane bottles, or you can buy an adaptor to use with full size.

Q200 or Q220 if you feel you want to cook whole chicken or roasts.

Q220 is exactly the same as 200, but had a taller lid with thermometer.

Weber Q 220. We have a hose and 5 pound bulk tank. I really don't know if it gets as hot running on the 5 pound tank

Ditto on the WeberQ...we have the 220. The Coleman Roadtrip works well too if you want something a little more portable with a built in stand

Weber Q100 or Q200/220. We've had our Q100 since our first camper outing in 2011 and it's been a great grill. We 'inherited' a hand me down Q200 at the end of last season and I look forward to putting it to good use this year. If only winter would take a hike...

If the Weber Q series interest you, the 200 and 220 were discontinued in late 2013 and replaced with the 2000 and 2200. Weber made a few improvements (mostly cosmetic from my perspective) but you can still find the older ones for about $25 less the 2014 models.

Weber Q120 is my choice. Large enough to cook three or four steaks and not quite as large as the 200 series. Stores in my storage area under the fifth wheel. I use a 10 lb. cylinder that I carry in the bed of my tow vehicle. Works for us.

I also have a Q200 - no regrets at all, it's a great grill.

Thanks so much for all the replies. Looks like the Webber wins! Now on my 28DSBH I have the propane line to
the back of the trailer, will I be able to run the Webber from there? I heard from somewhere that this line only runs a certain type of BBQ. Is this correct?
Thanks again.

Some folks have made the modifcations to supply LP from the TT quick connect you are reffering too. I have not. Using that line requires that you remove the regulator from the Q. The LP from you TT is already regulated at the tanks on the A-Frame. If you get the hose to adapt between the TT and Weber Q (w/o removing the Qs regualtor) you are double regulating the gas and the BBQ will only generate a very modest flame and not heat up as expected.

Do a couple searches on this forum, you will find folks who have done it -- including instructions on what they did and how they Mfg the hose to make the connection.

I simply purchased the weber hose for standard 20LB bottles. On longer trips I carry a 20LB Bottle in my Pick-Up, but for shorter trips I still use the 1lb bottles. 1LB bottles are certainly more expensive, but I always have them for other stoves and lanterns so when I find them on sale I stock up.

We have the Weber Q200 with the portable wire stand. Would not go with anything else. Sets up easy and cooks great. I actually like cooking on it better than my one at home.

The size of the tank is irrelevant. How hot the grill gets is determined solely by the size of the burners. The regulator maintains the gas pressure at 11"WC. That is standard in the propane appliance industry.

This is a good one and you can also add the stainless steel griddle. Available at Sams. http://www.samsclub.com/sams/portabl...rSearchToView&
