Our 2016 was already optioned with the grill. We never took it out of the box; it is in storage. We pulled the bracket off and stored it with the grill. We knew it was total junk and saw no need for the weight and clunkiness of having a useless bracket hanging off of the rear. We totally enjoy our Weber Q2200.
