Cable TV

Just passing this along in case someone else can learn from my experience. We stayed overnight at Deer Run RV park in Troy, AL on Friday (nice park by the way). They have cable TV and this was the first park we've sstayed at that does. It did not work when I tired to channel seach. We got 5 or 6 channels that were very weak.

Come to find out that you have to turn off your antenna amplifier. I turned it off and searched again and loaded 72 clear cable channels. Hope this helps someone else.

Yup, that's what you have to do.

Good post.

Easy and cheap lesson. Wish they were all like that!

Also, don't forget to change the signal input from antenna to cable.

Wish my Swift SLX 145 RB had an outside connection for cable TV.

Yup, figured that one out after a frustrating half hour of scanning and re-scanning on our first night out in the new trailer. I think I even added a new word or 2 to the English language that night.

Good to know. Only stayed in one place that had cable connection in my last camper. Couldn't pick up any clear channels.
