Can I open the windows that have the Emergency Exit stickers on them ??

2016 Jayco White Hawk, can you open the windows or are the only for Emergency Exit?

Unless they have changed the design recently. Yes you can.

You can but a word of caution... make sure you check that they are properly latched as part of your pre-trip routine before driving. Even a bump walking by can partially unlatch them.

We were camping with friends a few years ago who were on their first outing with a shiny new rig. They opened the emergency exit window while camped and closed it before leaving but forgot to ensure it was secured properly. Turns out it wasn't. It came open on the highway and the wind caught it ripping the window right off the side of the trailer. Luckily their dealer put it through on warranty for them.

Since then checking the exit window latches has been on my pre-trip check list. Especially with kids who like to play with those kind of things.

Has anyone ever noticed how small those E windows are??? The campground would definitely get a good laugh seeing me squeeze my fat butt through one of them if I needed to! IN A HURRY NO LESS!

Wouldn't be pretty. At all. Kids would be scarred for life!

If you do open it make sure it is closed & locked when you leave.

Ours were real hard to open the first few times. If you have the same windows as our TT, pop the end of the handle on the right up out of the security bracket, then it will swing out to a 90 degree angle to the center of the window frame. At that point push on the handle and the window will pop open at the bottom (I really had to push firmly the first time, I was worried I might break it). When you slide the handle out so the window opens wide, you can kind of lock it in the open position. Some caution though, if a stiff breeze comes up it can pull the window open further and cause the handle to slide all the way to the outside of the trailer. That has happened to us a few times, but it's no problem so far, no scratches on trailer or other damage to window. I try to pay close attention to them when they are open now, if there is a stiff breeze I'll just close them. I hope this long reply helps!

Mine will no longer stay open. The bracket that you clip the little arm to broke last year, and it looks like the entire window would have to be replaced. Riveting a part with plastic parts to the window frame, great strategy.

If the part you are referring to is the L shaped piece that the metal arm secures into, I found them on the internet after extensive search and all I did was drill out the rivets and use sheet metal screws to secure the new one.
