Caught in a Hail Storm

Golf ball sized hail and 70-80mph winds at the Nebraska/Wyoming Border. Lots of damage to the trailer and brand new truck. Luckily, the windows on the truck didn't break and everyone is okay. Will see how insurance handles this later this week.

Wow, never seen hail damage that bad. Makes me wonder if hail damage is something that would be covered under my insurance. The main thing is that you and your family got out of the storm safe. Everything else can be repaired.

Sorry to hear about your damage. I have been in acouple of hail storms and absolutely hate them. The power of Mother Nature can sometimes be a scary thing. Glad everyone is ok.

I drive an all aluminum bodied F150 as well as an aluminum sided trailer - These pictures are my worst fears come true. Hope all works out for you.

Wow that is crazy. Hope everyone was okay. Seeing all the changes in the weather patterns in the mid/east parts of the states is kind of scary and makes me glad to live in Washington.

Keep us updated on your insurance claim. I would imagine they would total both the trailer and pickup with that much damage.

Good luck!

Wow!!!
First off, I'm glad everyone is OK...
Secondly, Holy smokes! That really sucks!

I've been through some Wyoming wind... even w/o the hail or a storm it's no joke.

I was hoping I would get better gas mileage with the dents,,,kind of like a golf ball is dimpled to help it fly further. I didn't notice any improvements

I will update on the outcome of insurance once I know what they are going to do. I have an appointment for this Thursday.

ouch! Glad everyone was safe.

it can be fixed. I was at our dealer two winters ago. In their PDI bay (glass wall to the sales floor) , they had the side wall stripped off a TT, that was in a hail storm. It was quite interesting to see the internals of a wall.

It is fixable. If you can, do it during the off season.

Let's not get crazy, nothing beats a fish story. Unless it involves a woman, then it has a chance!

70-80 mph golf ball size hail doesn't care if your truck is made of steel or aluminum, or what brand it is, it's gonna screw it up period!

Our 26BH had hail damage, minor damage to all sheets on camper (36-48 dents total). Insurance declared it a total loss. It bothered me every time I walked by the camper so we took the settlement and a friend purchased it.
