Change of Address form

In my Jayco Owners manual, there is a page that one is supposed to fill out and send back to Jayco if there is any kind of change in the ownership of the RV.

It states:
"Federal record keeping laws require that we maintain a file of owners of our RVs. This form must be completed by the RV owner in the case of change of address, stolen or destroyed RV, and by the RV purchaser in the case of change of ownership."

This should be filled out if: Change of address, change of ownership , totaled, destroyed or stolen.

Not quite sure the difference between totaled and destroyed..

How many of you have ever filled that out and sent it in?

I have never moved in 35 years so I am clueless.

Likely it's just to keep up with the rig in case of a recall or some safety problem.

Well I faxed mine to Jayco yesterday. I supposed everyone that purchases a used rig needs to do so.
I also expect to start getting lots of emails from Jayco with deals on their new models soon...grin

My dealer took care of all the registration paper work for me. The reason they want you to register it, and why it's required, is for recall notices.

When we had our '03 Kiwi 17a, about 18 months after we bought it we got a letter from the manufacturer of the microwave. I called the number and verified the SN. They sent someone to my house (where the trailer is parked) to replace the recalled part.

So if your dealer does not register your RV and it's components with the manufacturers, make sure you do take care of it.

We've bought 3 Jaycos new, '93, '03, and '13. Not once have I received spam snail mail or email from any manufacturer.
