Cleaning Rubber Roof
What is the best rubber roof cleaner to use on my 5th wheel? Looking for something that is easy to use with the least amount of elbow grease. Thanks.

After 10 years of scrubbing rubber or fiberglass roofs with Murphy's, Simple Green, 409, and other products I found the best solution to be a pressure washer. Stay away from caulking, penetrations, and enclosures. With a little bit of caution, I found it to work very good.

Dicor the manufacturer of our TPO roof told me to use Murphy soap or any non-petroleum based soap twice a year, checking seals each time. They also told me not to waste money on their or anyone else's "protectant" products. They told me that they are unnecessary. They said that they would sell them to me, but the roof does not need them at all. They told me to save my money and keep my roof clean and seals in good shape.

I use Simple Green and a long handled car washing brush. A light scrubbing will do the trick.

I use a combination of Dawn "blue" dish soap, bleach and water. My sponge mop has a brush on the "flip-side"; so I mop the solution on, flip the mop to scour the roof, then hose it off. I use the same solution on the awning. Both turn out clean and white with very little (if any) mildew stains.
Works for me!

I have had good luck with Thetford rubber roof cleaner, Our Walmart carries it in a spray bottle. I wet the roof, spray a 4 x 4 section, scrub gently with a long handle brush and rinse. Move to another section and soon it's done.
Just make sure to protect the roof from the hose dragging around.

7 years of owning my camper, plus an entire childhood camping with the family, we use rain to "clean" our roof's. I've never done anything more.

I've been told that "LA's Totally Awesome" (see attached) cleaner works very well, but (1) haven't heard that from owners who have actually tried it and (2) don't know what the optimum dilution rate should be.

I've owned lots of campers over the years, and I have never cleaned the roof on any of them. I think more damage could be caused by walking, scrubbing, power washing etc.
The crud up there like tree sap etc, must be protecting the rubber, and plugging any cracks, lol. I've never had one leak.
I've never scrubbed my house roofs either for the same reason.
Different strokes.....

When I inspect the roof, I wash ot too. All I use is a bucket of soapy water with Dawn blue dish soap, along with my long handled car wash brush. Easy to clean.
