Clearcoat on aluminum sided tt?

Anyone here know if aluminum sided tt's are clearcoated or just painted?

I believe they are just painted. Three campers ago was a 1996 Fleetwood, and it had what they called CrystalKote over the paint. Didn't do a darn thing for it. It still got dirty just as quick. Give 'em a coat of good wax every year, and it'll be fine.

Nowdays you gotta be carefull on type of wax. some are formulated especially for clear coatand not recommended on regular paint..thats why I was asking

I just use Turtle Wax, nothing fancy since it gets done every fall before covering. That way it's only uncovered for six months here in snow country. The dealer should know, or be able to find out what's on it for paint, from the maker of the panels (aluminum?).
