Coffee Cups?
I have been having a really hard time finding unbreakable coffee cups for our trailer. I do not want to use corelle. I am wondering what others are using, or any hints on where to find nice unbreakable coffee cups.
It is looking like my options are enamel or melamine.. but perhaps there are other options I am not aware of.

Go back to Target. They have some great colors, sizes, and patterns.

Just remember, Melamine is not microwave safe so if you need to reheat, you're out of luck. We have some that are stoneware that work great. They keep the coffee hot which is a critical need for me.

I feel the same way about melamine and I do prefer my ceramic mugs for coffee so I have a plan to store them in a plastic container with a towel while in transit. I bought mine at a second hand shop so if they do break, they are not costing me a fortune although they are a really nice set of brown ware and prob would never find the same ones again.

I also prefer the ceramic for coffee mugs versus melamine. I only carry 4 at a time. I love the idea of wrapping in towels if you're worried about breakage. All my other eating/drinking dishes are melamine/plastic.

Thanks for the info.. I am concerned about the melamine/microwave issue. Our dog was poisoned by melamine in her dog food a few years back, and barely survived.
I found these ones online today, and I am thinking of going with them unless I find something better.

My wife doesn't serve me coffee in anything but a heavy ceramic restaurant style mug and she doesn't serve me wine in anything but a real glass wine glass. Sorry, I'd give up RVing first. Do we break them? All the time at home and in the RV. We just buy them bulk on the internet. LOL. Life is just to d--- short to drink coffee out of a metal or plastic cup or wine out of a plastic glass just because they break. Just my humble opinion.
BTW, no warmed up coffee in the microwave at my house either.

+1.We only use plastic for "sweet" iced tea(unsweet should be against the law ).Its not that hard to store glass/ceramic ,you do break one occasionally but heck, needed a new color anyway to end the monotony.

I use a coffee maker with the Thermal Carafe built in place of a standard glass pot, it keeps coffee hot for hours and no burnt taste from being left on. I feel the same I like the ceramic cups for coffee, for beer I buy in bottles and drink from them, for soda/ice tea we use the throw away style cups. For c o c ktails we use glass c o c ktail tumblers. For Ice I have a stand alone ice maker it keeps up to us on a hot day (its works very well for making ice tea)

I use 16oz travel mugs. I have plastic so they don't break, but you can get ceramic or stainless too. One 32oz French Press fills 2 of them perfecty and they are insulated to keep hot. Target has many options.

Sounds like a winner, MrKong. You can't go wrong when you see 35 reviews giving it an almost perfect 5 star rating. Me personally, I have this stainless insulated cup that keeps my coffee hot for about 2 hrs. It's like 20 oz so I can go about my day without having to keep refilling to keep my coffee hot...

I think you may find these mugs to be quite hot on the lips. I use stainless steel insulated mugs which are better. Mine are from Coleman and I got them from Campmor, but I think they have been discontinued.

Nothing like Tervis Tumblers. They're insulated, microwave, dishwasher, and freezer safe. You can get tumblers or mugs in a variety of styles and sizes.
