Comment on jof

Gennerally most days i find myself when i have spare time sitting in front of the computer looking over the questions or comments fellow jof members are making. Since i have joined this forum i have come to realize wether some one lives in texas or california, new york or canada, that everyone seems to get along very well, and will step up too help some one they dont know or advise on the best campsite to go too. I just think in a time when a lot of folks are joined at the hip with their cell phone ,that they still will sit down and enjoy this forum . This probably not considered to be about camping but this is what i have observed i think it is pretty cool thx for listening kelly

Yep, this is one of my favorite places to visit. I'm here reading interesting, useful stuff almost every day. I usually get off work, clean up, read a book for a while, eat, then get on JOF to see what's happening.

I've noticed that as well. There is another RV forum that I frequent where it is nothing but brand wars, weight police, half ton vs 3/4 and up, diesel vs gas. Its getting harder and harder to find useful information amogst all the infighting.

This forum is a breath of fresh air. People helping each other, answering questions and appearing to actually enjoy this pastime. I really enjoy this forum.

X2. And I was taught if you could not say something nice about someone, to just don't say it. Being an old Marine, I just try to treat someone as I would like them to treat me. Do find a lot of useful information on here also.

Since the smart phone and Tapatalk came along , I spend more time keeping up with unread posts here.
One thing I really enjoy is communicating with fellow campers.

Thank you... Thank you... Thank you...

A heart-felt THANKS from myself and all the other Site Team members of JOF to everyone who posts to this thread. Your comments, good or bad, are important not only to the Site Team, but also in keeping JOF your number one resource for helpful information on Jayco RVs. The loyal membership on this forum attests to that fact.

A forum is only as good as it's management and the positive posts expressed here thus far reinforce the notion that we're doing things right.

Yes, there are occasions where the moderators have to temporarily morph from members into sheriffs to squelch some disturbance on the boards or edit/modify or delete a member's posting. Other times, we're counselors conversing with members about rules, policies or providing guidance on where to find help or information. But for the most part, we try to be just "regular guys" who mingle and post with the constantly growing number of members on JOF.

While no one is ever 100% perfect, every member of the Site Team strives to achieve that goal. However, as soon as we get close, another line is drawn in the sand for us to reach. Like the carrot in front of the horse, it's a goal we can almost taste, but never reach.

Again, thanks to all for your continued support and trust in our quest to keep JOF a respectable, informative and fun forum. Without your input, this forum would not be the great place that it is.

Respectfully,

Frank (FPM III)

Yes, I agree with all the above. I learn a lot here. Never condescending, always trying to help.

I may not agree with every single post but then don't agree with every single thing said around a campfire either. Still part as friends after each visit.

Agreed. I've been a member of a truck forum and also a tractor forum in the past. The people here are very friendly and it's a great place to just kick back and listen, learn and share your own experiences.

I echo what has been stated as well.

I still consider myself a "newbie" compared to other members here and it seems like I'm always learning something new all the time.

As a matter of fact, when I'm out at CG, if I see another Jayco owner, I'll stop and talk and recommend JOF to them.

I've been poking around this site now for almost a year, and it was the helpful advice freely exchanged that convinced me to buy a Jayco instead of S.O.B. I got my Eagle in January, and joined soon after that. Again, thank you for welcoming me into your fold!

I've recommended the JOF to several other Jayco owners I've met at campgrounds. I printed up some business cards with my cell phone # and Email address to hand out to friends when I went "full-time". It proudly displays both the Jayco Owners' Forum web address, and my user name. And I back it up with JOF stickers on both the front & back of my TT.

Spread the word to the rest of the camping community: This is the best damn RV forum on the web!

I may be new here, but not new to RV Forums. I moderated a Keystone forum for years and had many a discussion in many others as well. A very positive experience here. (so far anyway...lol) Keep up the great work and the great sharing! I'll be around.

It doesn't matter what you tow or what you tow it with. Tastes great, less filling, hey it's all camping and camping is supposed to be fun!
