CPAP Machine - Display Software

There are a few of us out there that utilize the CPAP machine to assist in our breathing while in sleep mode (or lack of sleep mode). The VA was kind enough to issue one to me and I was finally able to sleep (on and off) with it. So I had to return to the VA to get the supplies, and let them download my CPAP data. Every time I asked them to share with me the results, I always received a lot of "Don' t worry about it, it is all taken care of", NEVER once did I get a printout or paper (digital) report from them. It was like it is TOP secret information.

So, I started searching the web for software that will read and display the CPAP data on my PC. Found it. Amazing how when you wake up exhausted in the morning you look at that nights data and you can see why.

If any one has the Philips Unit the software is called Sleepy Head and yes it is open source and free. Here is the link: https://sleepyhead.jedimark.net/
It also lists the Oximetry unit on the home page.
Below is a sample of the daily view

Thanks for this link. I also have been curious but never looked for the software. They do seem to not want you to know your own sleep diagnosis.
(I think the government is behind it) lol jk

Although I haven't looked at either recently, I've used both the Sleepy Head software and the Resmed site. I used to check the Resmed site when I get to work as the cpap unit would have uploaded the info by the time I got to work. I'd check the SH software like every 3 days. It's pretty interesting info.

I had surgery on my knee in 2011 and while in recovery the doctor asked me if I was tired during the day. Long story short, I had a sleep study done and I had an eye opener with the results. During my surgery I stopped breathing about 30 times according to the doctor. My sleep study results recorded my breathing stopped on average of about 35-45 times an hour. My oxygen level was at 78-82% for at least 4-5 hrs a night. I have been using a CPAP machine since 2011. I recently upgraded to the ResMed airsense 10. The online tracking is awesome. I am down to 1 or 2 events a night. I can definitely tell when I don't use it that's for sure.

Does anyone have a CPAP machine that will run off their trailer's 12v volt power system?

Runs on 24 Volts

My wife just bought one. They run on 24 volts. You can either buy their 12v to 24v converter for about $90 or find something on the web.

Why couldn't they have made it to run on 12 volts?

What model did she purchase? I found a 12 to 24 volt upconverter on Amazon I am going to use for the Wifi Ranger, I'll also wire it for the CPAP machine I guess.

12 volt C-Pap

I have a Phillips Respironics System One C-Pap. When I was tested and a machine was being ordered for me I insisted that I get one that runs on 12 volts as well as 110 volts. I had to buy a 12 volt cord from Respironics website. I installed a 12v outlet next to my bed. I have two 6 volt golf cart batteries installed in my MH. Before I was able to get everything installed, I used a Clore JNC 660 Jump N Carry 1700 battery booster (used to jump start a 12v car battery) to run my C-Pap. During the daytime I ran my genny to charge it up again. On hous battery power you can't use the humidifier or heated hose. This set-up beats using an inverter unless you have a very large battery bank to draw from.

12 volt CPAP

Look at the transformer for your CPAP, and you may find that the output voltage is near 12 volts. If so, there is likely a cigarette lighter cord available to replace it. That was how i learned there was a 12 volt cord for my wife's Respironics System One.
At first, she only wanted to stay in CG with electric hookups because of the CPAP. Now with the 12 volt cord, we are a bit more adventurous.

The Resmed works via WiFi. Sleepy head requires the SD card to be pulled from the machine and inserted into your pc/laptop.
