Custom build or just incomplete

I haven't been camping in years and Grandma and Grandpa are too old for a pop anymore. That, and I would love to have A/C and my own batroom and shower.

So perusing the Jayco website, we both like the 2016 Jay Feather 7 19XUD. Because it will only be the 2 of us, my wife suggested that it would be nicer if the side out for the sofa held the dinette and instead of a sofa, a couple of rocker recliners.

I sure would like an awning that ran the entire length of the trailer.

I think some of the plumbing is under the left side dinette seat, but that could stay there under a end table/cabinet.

Does anyone know if jayco would be willing to build a "one off" or possibly just not install parts of the interior ?

I`m not for sure on this but I do not believe they will do custom orders, probably because it would slow the entire line down. If I recall correctly others have asked and been told no but it never hurts to try.

They "may" leave items out, but as CRABMAN said custom installs are a real stretch. Even leaving things out could still result in an extra charge.

look at some used Jayco's and you might find the floor plan your looking for.

x2. We couldn't find a floor plan in a new unit we liked, but looking a couple of years old and we found a perfect match that we will be taking delivery on in a couple of months.

The Floorplan shown is the 23B. I'm not sure exactly how the new ones are built. Under the sofa, is a wheelwell, heating ducts, water pipes and electrical. Also the slide out height does not go down to the floor.

I'd at least ask. Pink sheet items as they call them, or special requests. They'll do more than you think sometimes. It costs more (sometimes) as it requires somebody to babysit it somewhat down the line. I've had skylights and shower doors left out (previous rigs), but that's about the most. Guess it depends on how elaborate you wanna go. Another member here had (I think) decals left off and the colors of AC / fridge covers changed.

Some parts of the unit are in fact part of the structural integrity of the whole unit, leaving them off may effect the unit. Worth asking, but, I would doubt they would be able to accommodate. Part of the effectiveness of a factory is the standardization of units. Good Luck .

That slide is the same as my X20E and the same as the 23B. It does not have it's own floor. That said even if you could get them to leave out the couch, you would not have much to build on for putting in any kind of rocker/recliners.

Have you gone to look at one yet? You'd be amazed at how comfortable the couch is. It's not like a gaucho or bench in a pop-up camper. You could get a couple of small ottomans or similar to prop your feet on. Our X20E came with a built in ottoman that slides into the dinette. But they don't offer the X20E anymore.

I have a new 37TS on order and am hoping to get them to NOT install a toilet and plumb the black and grey tanks together. Calling tomorrow, but if anyone has any new news, I'd like to hear it.
