A local guy who was given a hard time by his neighbors for washing his truck on his rental site in a trailer park went to city hall and found out that the local ordinance stipulated that the park could not have monthly renters. They had to cater to those pulling in off the street. Consequently the owner sold the property to a developer and everyone had to move out. Your neighbor wasn't very nice about this. There may come a day when he needs your help.

Yes it is a double bladed sword. I want a nice neighborhood which we have. But I talked to all the other neighbors and not one of them care about the trailer. We are going to try to change the part about trailers. Should have more than enough votes to get the trailer part out of it. Makes me mad because the person sueing me is disliked by everyone in the neighborhood. He likes to push people around and has tried to mess with everyone in the neighborhood.

Are deed restrictions similar to city bylaws? I haven't heard of them before and don't remember any in the pile of paperwork the lawyer had us sign when we bought the house. Here in White Rock, BC the only bylaw restrictions regarding travel trailers I could find was a length limit of 25.25 feet for any travel trailer parked forward of your house.

I used to own a townhouse and the endless petty strata rules combined with a grumpy neighbour who made it his mission in life to enforce every last one were the reason I bought a house this time.

I live in MD,Baltimore County to be exact,I had my trailer in the driveway for the first few weeks after getting it.The reason its not there anymore is because the neighbor called the county and an inspector came out and wrote me a ticket sayiong to pay the fine or I have 2 weeks to remove trailer...The trailer is now being stored at my Mothers. The funny thing is when I call the county on the very same neighbors for selling drugs,or having people live in the sheds in their back yards, nothing at all seems to happen.....Sometimes life just isnt fair
