Dehumidifier use during summer?

Does anyone use a dehumidifier during the summer? Does it help the A/C perform better?

We use one anytime we are out. Helps most in the early and late season camping however it still pulls moisture out with the AC on.

Very nice choice of rig.

We use one at home where the rv is stored when not I use. It does a great job. When we leave, it stays in the garage.

During the summer with the AC on the digital display shows that the humidity stays at 48% 24/7... but in the non-summer months (with central heat running) we use one which keeps the walls from getting condensation on them.

We use one 24/7, 365 days a year. It pulls moisture out of the air all the time!

Interesting thoughts on the A/C

I also run one no matter the time of year and it consistently is removing moisture from the air. I cannot answer with any level of conviction your question about A/C... But it did make me wonder... I commented on another thread about Greyhawk's weak A/C that mine seemed to perform better then was being reported by many other members. Makes me wonder if the dehumidifier is making a difference.

Of course the only way to test it would to be trying camping without the dehumidifier, and I am not about to do that

I use it when parked in my driveway, but not on trips.
