Delamination

Hello I have a 2015 Jay Feather Ultra Lite X19 H. We have Delamination on the bottom 3" or so on the bottom exterior of the bunk end. Would this be a warranty issue and should I be concerned about it?

Delamination is commonly caused by water intrusion and warranty should be applied.

If it is still under warranty, yes, this would be a warranty issue. Best to have it fixed at Jayco's expense, rather than your own after warranty expires. We just went through this with our 16XRB. The plastic trim, where the canvas attaches to the trailer, was cracked and allowing water in when it would rain while opened. This caused the bunk door to start delaminating around the edges. We took it to our dealer, they inspected it, took pictures of the damage, and submitted a claim to Jayco. Jayco paid them, and provided replacement parts, to completely replace the canvas, bunk door, and all seals. This would have been an expensive, major repair, had we paid out of pocket for it ourselves.

As the others have said, YES.

I'm doing work on mine now and it is no fun and not cheap. . Thankfully I have the skills to do it because it would have cost in excess of $3000 per a couple of estimates.

Yes, get it fixed while still under warranty. Water intrusion is a possibility but it could also be caused by a laminate bonding problem we encountered on the front cap of our 2015 Whitehawk 29REKS. The adhesive that was used for bonding the laminate failed and caused delamination along the edges of the cap. I thought it was water intrusion but that wasn't the cause. Anyway the front cap was replaced under warranty so get yours looked at ASAP

My 2013 Eagle 5th wheel had delam beginning on back wall just at the 2 year point. Jayco sent entire new wall to dealer who did the work. Was able to delay it until done with planned trips and they had it about a week. I had then leave off all decals, which they seemed fine with.

Same problem on my 2015 eagle. Back wall problems. The dealer had to order the back wall and said when the season was over they would install it under warranty.
