Do you shovel off your TT Roof?

With the current snowfall predictions of 1-2 feet with Isolated area's of 30+ here at home in Mass... a question occurred to me. Should one shovel off the roof of their Travel Trailer?

I know if you do, you need to be extra careful not to scrape the rubber roof and tear it, but do you have too? and why do you do it? Timing could not be more perfect for me as I traded in my 2011 23J last week, and I don't take delivery until March/April so this is just a general question that has crossed my mind.

With that much snow, I would broom it off for the most part.
The weight and melting/freezing just gets all that water potential off the roof.

With any snow fall over a few inches I clean off the camper, I use a "sno broom" it is soft foam and about 12" long. works great. I have done this for all our campers. then I will get the roof rake and do the house.

Yes, I would use a broom and get the snow off if we were going to get that much snow. We had a storm earlier this year with 14" and I pushed most of it off with a broom. Most of the recent storms have been heavy icy snow that won't move and I have had to unfortunately leave that on.

With that about of snow expected, I would at least take a big part of it off but be VERY CAREFUL. In central PA that would be state of emergency and I couldn't get to the RV anyhow. I just let mother nature and the sun take care of what little snow we do get.
