early rodent arrival

For what its worth, I have had mice infestations this year both in our fifth wheel and trying to build a nest in my generator at the first of August. This is a normal situation that we could expect in late September or October. Ive never had a problem this early. I don't know if it has anything to do with last winters extreme cold or this summers cooler temps. Here in Maryland there clearly appears to be early rodent nesting. Im only passing this on so that you can be on guard!!

My neighbor just caught 13 under her steps.. and many more there to catch.. I just put out poison sticky traps and used spray foam to fill a lot of cracks to take away hiding places..

Mice get in quite easily when you have your dump tank hose attached, ive watched them climb up them like a ladder, chew the spray foam away and gain access to their new condo. They dont climb tires easily, especially if you treat them with armor-all. They dont climb hitches or stants, and they are a little short for steps generally, also they cant climb electrical cord, ive seen them try... if you have a rodent issue DO NOT attach your sewer hose until you are ready to use it, that is the easiest point of entry. Best of luck

Hello,
Just purchased low pressure foam to spray into bronze wool (no rust). I was going to fill the cracks from the inside. Is there any reason to go under the trailer as well? I am old and stove in so it will be a real chore getting under there but I want to do this properly. We have not had any critters on our watch but the previous owner did.

guess I better hurry up and get some spray foam to seal mine up as well. Might set a new record low (58*) this week here in TN.
