Early RV Show

Well, went to the RV show today, which means that camping season is near. Purchased a 9'x18' outdoor mat, door mat and a outdoor propane fire ring that belts out 58000 btu's. Found a Yamaha 3000 watt genny that was on sale for 2 grand......regular price was $2549.00. I might buy that too or buy the 120 watt mobile solar charger for $549 tomorrow. We are going to try to camp in March if the weather isn't freezing

I was meaning to go to the RV show this weekend but time got away from me. I hope it was good. FYI.... CDN Tire has Coleman 40wt solar panel kits on sale for $99. Might be worth looking at.

Can't wait for spring!

Hi, It was a good show, took in the maintenance seminar, looked at the 2013 X213....didn't like the fake wallpaper back splash and wasn't sure I liked the new exterior colors but we liked the interior colors especially the brown "fake leather fabric" on the couch. I almost splurged on the mobile 120 watt solar kit. It was pretty cool, it was a fully self contained kit that came in a carrying case included the controller that was selling for $549.00. When we left, we forgot the buy the House of Q bbq rub that we liked so much last year. The 40 watt, I think would be too light duty for charging the battery. I would need at least the 95 watt solar kit for my requirements and I currently am using my Champion 2000 watt invertor generator to charge the battery for 4 hours a day that is allowed at Provincial campsites although I am allowed to run it thru out the whole day if I need to due to having to charge the portable battery pack for my CPAP machine (considered a medical device) ....have my eye on a 3000 watt Yamaha that I saw at the show for $2000.00 otherwise I will buy Honda 3000 from Carter Motor Sports in Vancouver. That one is on special for $2200.00. I am so ready to camp again, we have a group site with electricity booked at Alice Lake for the Canada Day Long weekend this year and plan on camping starting mid March if the weather cooperates with us.

We didnt go to the show. I have accessories for my accessories, so we stayed home. You may want to watch Craigslist for a Genny. I got my 3000 watt Honda of it for $1200. They guy still had the box that it came with. Check out the 2400 watt Yamaha as well

Thanks for the tip, I have been searching Craigslist as well. I would need a 3000 watt to run the AC unit...
