Essentials for new trailer owner

Hi all,

We pick up our new Jayco 16XRB hybrid in a couple weeks and get a discount on items we buy that day from the dealer. Being a first time trailer owner i'm curious, what are essential things we should buy that we will need? Any suggestions appreciated. I figured the hoses and a 50ft electrical extension but beyond that i'm not really sure what else we need.

thanks!

Weight distribution hitch!
Electric brake controller.

In any case price it at the dealer vs. Amazon or other place you can find it.
Lots of time the dealer price is high enough that even with the discount you can buy it cheaper.

Most things you won't need except the two above. Those you need to get it home.

You will need chocks, blocks when you get home. You dealer should include battery, propane, drain hose and a chem started pack. But === consider asking to upgrade the kit. All will be the cheapest and not likely to last.

Read up on pre delivery inspection (search PDI ), vital to know how to use your RV and spot problems before you sign and leave.

Good Luck, see you down the road!

Check your dealer's prices against Amazon.com or Campingworld.com. We saved several hundred dollars when outfitting our Allante, often 50% on an item.
