Favorite "tools" for washing your RV?
I gave our new RV it's first bath today.. and ended up using a flat floor washing type of mop with changeable mopping pads.. but I am wondering what tools other people find useful for this chore.
Thanks
Lady Wendolyn

I use the same tools that I use on Car and Truck, Bucket of car wash soap, wash mit, and brush with telescoping handle that is made for washing cars. works fine for me this way I dont have to get out a ladder.

I use a telescoping brush too. Mine has a hose hook up on the end with a built in shut off. I use micro fibre towels to dry it off so the painted/decal areas don't water spot. IMHO the worst part is washing the windows.

Yes I forgot about the windows and the DW says we have to hand wash and dry them so we dont have any water spots.

We hire a guy that washes campers in Az. It is either raining or dusty here so I don't usually wash it at home. I do hose it off from time to time.

telescoping microfiber mop pad, then I use a microfiber wash mitt for the lower half and detailing. Works extremely well and I use Meguires car wash soap.

Truck and RV washing kit I found at Sam's Club that has a telescoping brush that water flows through. I also found out Goo Gone does wonders on nasty sticky stuff and the dirt on the white rubber of the city water plug. Put a little on and wiped it off and the darn thing looks like new!

I'm glad to hear all these ideas and also about the goo gone.. The water caps etc. look yucky after just one weekend out.. I will try that tomorow.

I bought the telescoping brush that Costco was selling earlier this year and than waxed it using Protect All. The nice thing about Protect All is that it doesn't leave any white debris on the plastic or rubber like some other waxes. It is easy to apply but it is expensive.
