First Outing of the season!

Loaded up the family in our 26BH for the first outing of our second season of RV'ing. We went to Deception Pass state park in WA. Went with the inlaws (who have a 25 RKS G2). Had a great time, got good use of the furnace!

I appreciate all the information on this forum, very useful and entertaining.

Cool deal. How cold were the nights? We are taking ours out this Friday. I flush the enbalming fluid tomorrow.

I would love to get our new unit out and going.. but here in Canada that would be a huge risk for the pipes to freeze etc. as we can still get freezing weather until May. I will try and live vicariously through your adventures..

We are supposed to get down to 29 to 35 at night depending on what weather website you look at. Highs are well above freezing.
After I flush the pink stuff out, I open the low point drains and crack the faucets open.
Never had an overnight freezing issue.

We made our first trip of the year on the spur of the moment last weekend. Called the wife about noon told her to get ready I got home about 4 and we were on the road by 5:30. Not bad for the first outing in a new camper.

Had a few first outing issues but for the most part a really enjoyable weekend.

I have been out on 5 trips this year. Last weekend was the first trip that I used the water system. I will have to blow out the water lines after trip number 6 this coming weekend. It is suppose to freeze next week.

First Time Out This Year

It has been beautiful here. Live near Chicago and the weather has been in the 80's. Went camping for the first time last weekend - by a lake - couldn't ask for better weather. It was nice to get out with our 25RKS and relax. Can't wait to go again!
