They must be killing you in labor because the parts aren't that expensive. But in my original post, I didn't include front. So that'll add some ch-ching. 8 hours seems high to me @ $119 per hour. But I'm sure one of those hours is to re-flash the system.

Ouch! That's why I do all my own maintenance...and differential rebuilds/gear swaps for that matter! Can't believe what they charged for a gasket and a gallon of synthetic gear oil!

I tow an X213 with a 2015 F150 supercrew 5.0 with 3.73 gears and it pulls with no problem. I can pass at 75mph. I was looking at the Echoboost too when looking for my truck. I only went with the 5.0 because I got a much better deal. I agree with others, I would look for something with the 3.73 over the lower gear ratio.

If I could go back, I would have looked more for something with th Max Tow package or whatever would give me the highest payload in a F150. My F150 can tow max trailer weight of 9300 lbs but the max payload is 1560lbs. I would have liked to get the max on the payload because with the trailer tongue weight, passangers and whatever I throw in the bed, I can get up to that 1560 pretty easily

If you choose the 3.5 EcoBoost, make sure and get the "heavy duty towing" Package. The 36 gallon extended range fuel tank is a huge plus. The longer wheel base in the Super Crew cab configuration will also provide a smoother ride when you are not towing. It will also give you a 6.5 foot bed instead if that really short 5.5 foot box. The 5.0 is a great engine as well. As far as I'm concerned, either configuration will do a great job for you.
