Front Storage Door Opening Dimensions

Hello all,
We have just ordered our Jayco 26BH. We were looking at ice chests today, and we were curious about what would fit in the opening of the pass through storage doors up front. Does anyone have one that can measure it for us?

On my 28BHS the doors inside measurements are 23.5" wide by 15.5'' tall. I believe the doors on the 26 BH are the same, but that`s 2010 model, not sure about any changes for `11. There is also storage under the beds, rear and front, that will hold some fairly large items, you just raise up the bed and the gas shocks will hold it up. -Lee

I know about the under bed storage. We were wanting to slide a couple of coolers in from the outside. I don't think there are any changes in the doors.

I have not found a decent cooler that I can slide in from the outside -- they are all too tall. I usually let it ride between the table so it does not slide around much and just store it outside the camper when we are parked.

For some strange reason all camper storage doors are smaller than the storage area. What could it possibly cost to make the door the same dimension as the storage area?

You got that right clutch.
My storeage doors are just 1/4" smaller than my TV dish.. so it has to go into the bedroom while towing..
coolers... for me the best place to put them is between the queen bed and wall.. less chance for them to tip over.

You are right about that. I put a carpet runner in ours so I could pull it and then reach the things in the middle.

I'm wondering the same thing about my jayco 30.5ckts. doing exhaustive search online to figure out opening size because i got a line on a used slide out rack for it at a good price. nobody at the dealership today and don't take possession of the 5th for a week. Im wondering if my duel fuel generator will fit in there or if i have to haul it on a rack on the back. So many questions and so few answers! We are so excited though!

Have you thought of a small portable ice maker ? Been using one for years and don't have to deal with ice chests.
