I bought a 2010 Jay Feather Sport a couple months ago and have taken it on three short trips so far. The other day I noticed what I believed to be the gas line dangling from beneath the trailer.

The line (which looks like two black hoses) that connect to a "junction box" (if you will), appear to have separated from a bracket that holds it to the frame of the trailer. It looks like the screws that hold the junction box to the frame simply snapped. Pretty strange.

Has anyone had a similar problem?

We have the "enclosed underbelly". Lotsa advantages to it, but the one disadvantage is that we can't easily see what is going on under the trailer. In Kinda one of those "..what we don't see happening must not be happening.." things *fingers crossed*

I expect that you have repaired those dragging hoses 2 years ago. What was broken? As you can see we also have a 2010 Jayco Sport165

This happened to us also. went we brought out new 22fb home for the first time i noticed the dangling gas line, the self tapping screws had the head sheared off so i replace them with nuts and bolts. i replaced ALL the self tapping screws that came on the TT

It is really a good idea to replace any self tapping small screws on a recent trailer. Working in the automotive industry, I have noticed that we are importing more and more cheap Asian hardware which is hardly capable of withstanding the force necessary to install them the first time. A lot of it is just plain junk. After all, what kind of quality can you expect when a box of 100 screws costs only about 25 cents wholesale ? That's the figure given to me by a friend in the hardware business on one particular box.
