G4 LED's came today..

Can't post any feedback on these just yet, but the 20 G4 LED's I ordered from ebay finally arrived today. WIsh I could post some feedback, but youall will just have to wait until next week when I head to the camper. They look well made and at less than $1.00 each, I figured they were worth a try. Her's a link to the ones I ordered, and once I have a chance to try them out, I will be sure and let you know how they work out.

Can't wait to hear how you like them. I've been thinking of replacing mine.

I replaced all my TT interior lights with LEDs last week. There is really not a noticeable difference in how the light is emitted between the LED and the filament bub as long as you purchased the right LED replacement. One thing I did notice is that the self stick tape used to adhere the LED to the top of the fixture doesn't hold up well with the amount of heat the LED puts out. I just purchased some heavy duty 3M doubled sided tape. Time will tell how this works. Overall I am pleased with the LEDs so far. Best of luck on yours.

2x what Explorer says. I replaced mine last year. I can't tell a significant difference in color but they (LED's) may be slightly brighter. MUCH cooler! I cleaned the fixture surface with alcohol (isopropyl) and have had only one let go. We don't boondock so the power consumption isn't a factor for us but I know it's a tremendous difference. Here in South Texas I'm all for things that reduce the heat load inside.

Be careful with the LEDs you buy from ebay most do not have surge protection built in and when they get more than 12.4 volts they will start to burn and they have not perfected the soft white LEDs they our using a yellow pale shade and they do not last long, I'am in the business and have them made to my specs www.yachtbritesigns.com

shoefly,

Thanks for your input. I'll be sure and keep an eye on them. My unit isn't a year old yet and I've already replaced about 4 of the bulbs that came with it, so at a buck a piece, unless they blow in bunches, I'll order another 20 or so just to have around.
I'll be sure and post some feedback and a few pics next week.

We replaced all 37 of our Halogen Bulbs with LEDs about a year ago, since we fulltime they are used daily, no problems or failures with any of the LEDs yet.
In the first month of fulltime living we had 6 of the Halogen bulbs blow and they did get HOT.
