Good Sam Club Question(s)

Is Good Sam Club a good investment? Are these type of clubs worth the money? Is/are there better clubs? Since we just got into camping with our first Travel Trailer, we aren't accustomed to the things just yet? Thanks,

John

John,

I guess it depends on what benefits you are looking for, and the type of travel you do with your TT. If you are looking for a club that simply offers a monthly magazine, CG discounts, and some retail discounts, Good Sam's basic membership may be ok (except for all the mail offers that follow).

If you are looking for a club that offers road service for your TT, I would first check with your present insurance carrier and see what your present policy covers. If you feel more RV road service coverage is required, then shop around.

Bob

My folks have been part of "Good Sam" for years...in the beginning the just used the membership for discounts, but they've now discovered the social aspect of the club. They've hooked up with a great group of people and are out doing local camping quite a bit. Not my cup-o-tea yet, but once retirement hits I may join....overall, I guess it depends on your expectations if it's a good deal or not..

I think it would depend on your intrests and needs. Right now for me, no need and no intrest. Next year who knows.

I am a good sam lifer.. it really depends on what you want out of it.. most areas have local chapters that meet at least once a month for a group camp (during camping season of course). If you join and do not want junk mail just click on the do not mail me boxes... I now only get stuff from those that I have expressed an interest in.

We just don't know that much about the club and wouldn't know what we would be looking to get out of it. I don't know how they knew I just bought a travel trailer as I bought it used from an individual. We've never heard of this club before so don't have any experience with them. Thanks for the replys.

Google Direct Marketers Assn. if you search their site you can find an opt out feature.. the opt out lasts for 4-5 years then you have to do it again.
