In my city, they have a law that prevents any trailer being parked on the street for any amount of time, unless it is attached to the tow vehicle. Also parking in your driveway is not allowed. The only place you can park it is in your back yard, and it must be enclosed by a 6 foot privacy fence. Trouble is many homes don't have access to the back yard for something as large as a trailer.

Congrats. Being able to park camper at home was a major requirement with our last move. Our old home was forbidden by the HOA for more then 48 hours. City ordinances said it was ok as long as it was behind the front corner of the house and more then 25 feet from the road. Only problem was that we had a straight driveway that was 26 feet long. I was always getting in trouble from the city or the HOA. So I stored it at my dad's house in the same town. He had an L shaped drive so no problem with city. No HOA for him, and even though his house was worth at least 4 times what ours was worth, neighbors never complained.

I don't think it's a bad thing. I can see how the HOA would have such a regulation. My city doesn't allow more than one unregistered vehicle in the driveway. Behind a privacy fence in the back yard is a different story.

I live in an HOA subdivision as well. We can only park on the street for 72 hours and that supposed to be for loading, unloading, cleaning, etc. it's a $100 fine if you leave it longer. We left ours out for a week and a half last year in between trips and got a nasty gram in the mail from the HOA with the fine. My wife being the savvy marketing manager she is wrote a nice letter of explanation and apology and the fine was waived since we parked the TT back on the side yard
