Grandkids Vacation

Kitty and I are leaving early Saturday for a week in the camper at Branson with the Grandkids. Please wish us luck. By the way, what is check-in time at the Branson Insane Asylum?

How old are the G'kids? Might be wise to call the Asylum ahead and make a reservation.
We spent a few days in Eureka Springs AR earlier in the year. I think that was south of Branson by not too many miles. Beautiful area.
Safe travels!

Will be out with two 8 year old grandkids next week for 2-3 days.....we started out planning on just one but decided to invite a second one along to try to help keep the first one occupied....maybe they can entertain one another most of the time and we'll be off the hook some....but why not....that's part of why we bought this thing with a bunkhouse in the first place....lol.

Do you have room for 1 more? My grandson he'd love to go and watch your kids.

Branson vacation

Week and a half and we will be spending 8 days on Table Rock lake. Family over there has 9 days worth of stuff planned for us (and I just wanted to sit on the water in an inner tube and vegetate). Oh well, it's family.

We've taken our grand kids on a 7 day cruise and had a lot of fun. We also took each of the oldest ones on a 2 week trip with us on their 12th birthday and had a good time with each of them. We've camped with our youngest grandson and granddaughter for 4 days and had no problems and everyone had a good time. You need to plan ahead and have contingency activities for inclement weather. Make sure you plan some evening activities like making pie iron pies, roasting hot dogs and making smores. Keep hikes and other trips geared to shorter attention spans and age appropriate.

A surprise stop at an ice cream store when they've been good will score big points.

Thanks for the concern. This will be the 11th year of the Gkids camping vacation. When they were young it was easy, just tie them up and put them in the closet. Now they are 16, 16, 13, & 11 yrs old, thus we have to worry that they will tie us up and put us in the closet. They are the reason we got the bunkhouse RV and we all look forward to the trip each year. Kitty and I will continue to take them as long as they wish to go. In all the years, there have been few problems. Silverdollar City and White Water, get ready here we come.

Well I get to take my Husband grandkids, Two Boys age 13 and 11
It the first time that they allowed to come.
I don't know why?
That all Mike wanted to do was to show the boys how to fly fish and camp
It has only taken 10 yrs.
He would of enjoyed this.
I will be out with them for 7 days.
So save some room in the Asylum for me
And yes they call me Grannie.

Update,,,, Kitty and I survived the week with the Gkids. I even think the Gkids survived. Silverdollar City, Whitewater, Dixie Stampede, Baldknobbers, what a week. I get to return to work tomorrow to REST. What a beautiful place Branson is. Must be something wrong with the place for if not, everyone would live there.

Tired Shorty

Talking

Our Grand kids are 2 & 1. We have yet to take them camping but have been doing day trips with them. We took them to the animal zoo and on the small train that they had there, they were absolutely perfect for us. We are hoping to take them camping with us next year. I am glad you made it back safely and somewhat sane..

Branson and Table Rock Lake are just downright beautiful. We go there a couple times a year but stay in a condo on the Lake. We usually use the fifth wheeler for states within the southeast region. Guess I need to try some longer trips out west soon. Seems like it is just some more convenient to fly when you are going the long distance. Probably missing all the fun!
