Just left there Wednesday. If your looking for a "GREAT" place to stay and don't already have a CG picked out, go to West Yellowstone and stay at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park.

Also just an FYI, there is construction going on all over the park including in the parking lots. even at Old Faithful.

We were there last summer. Had a great time. Get up early and drive the roads to see animals. If you see a car stopped along the road, take a close look as they likely stopped to see an animal. We saw Elk, Deer, Grizzlies, Black Bears, a Badger, Antelope, Bison, Coyotes and Wolves. We even got stuck in a Bison Jam for nearly 45 minutes.

Just a word of caution, use your telephoto lens or binoculars to get close to the animals, they are wild and Bison and Bears in particular can be aggressive.

X-2 Park rules are to stay a minimum of 25 yds from any animal.

I'm from eastern NC. Just left Yellowstone this morning. Spent the last 2 days there. Construction on Craig's pass is over. The last 2 days we drove the entire loop and the Bear tooth Highway and saw no construction going on. If a slot is available I can recommend West Yellowstone as well. Beautiful small town, laid back with lots to do. We stayed in the park at Madison reserve a spot online NOW! Some are available But are usually gone by 10am each day. Our neighbors showed up and got the last slot at 930 am yesterday morning for 2 nights. 22.50 a night dry camp only but they do have a dump station. We flew out and tent camped. Absolutely beautiful! Fyi if you are towing or a motor home I would not recommend using the Bear Tooth Highway. Beautiful drive 11000 feet elevation, serious switch backs and lots of steep grades. Have a blast weather is great, hit the sights early or late. Lots of people in the middle of the day.

Just to clarify, Bear Tooth is the northeast entrance. Its absolutely beautiful but I would have been terrified towing a trailer any size or driving anything bigger than a small C class.(big van)

The Cabela's in Mitchell, SD is pretty sweet. Free RV parking, free dump station, and even free outdoor dog kennels!

The KOA in Cheyenne is very clean and a good stop over on the way. Cabelas in Sydney, NE has a nice campground as well if you need a stop on your trip.

We just left Yellowstone a couple of weeks ago. It was awesome. Grizzly RV Park in West Yellowstone was the among the top rated campgrounds I have ever stayed at. If you stay in West Yellowstone, try Buffalo Bills pizza out. It is fantastic.

We just made reservations for Fishing bridge June 4, 2016, 10 nights. We're hauling our Cam-Am spyder for day trips. Any info helpful.
