Heated Holding Tank Question

We have never camped in weather below freezing. Always a first time, right? Headed north this weekend and temps supposed to drop to 26 degrees on Sunday night.

Should we use our heated tanks? Does their need to be liquid in the tanks? We usually leave the grey open, but black closed and we will not need to have water in our fresh water tank. Will the heat switch that gets turned on heat black, grey and fresh water?

I don't have heated tanks, but have camped as low as 24* night time lows. We had full hookups, so we left the grey open and left the kitchen sink running very slowly overnight to prevent freezing. A few hours in the low temp wasn't enough to freeze our black, grey was open so a non-issue, internal pipes were fine because obviously we had the furnace running and the fresh water hose didn't freeze due to keeping the water running.

A buddy with us chose not to run water and his fresh water hose and CG hose bib froze and split.

Hopefully others will have advise specially to the tank heater.

Use your Fresh water tank instead of the city water. And keep tank valves closed. I have camped around F 25-26 and nothing froze. And mine is not even insulated. There is enough heat loss from your unit to keep the tanks etc. frost free. Be sure you have enough propane.

when you turn on the switch and they all come on. Not enough heat to harm lines or tanks if empty.
