hello

We were considering buying a 2012 25.6ft jayco Eagle ultra lite, but we were turned off by the shoddy finishing inside. Where the staples wee used in the ceiling and interior walls were visible. We were initially told by the dealer that those would be fixed. But when we showed up today to sign the final papers we were informed that those could not br fixed and that all Jayco trailers have that issue. Does anyone else have that? We were disappointed as we really liked it otherwise. But could not sit there and see it all the time especially on a $33,000 trailer.

Are you sure it was a 25.6" Ultra Lite. We bought a Eagle SuperLite HT 26.5 RLS this last winter and have used it for about 28 days so far this year. I haven't noticed any real shortchanging on the quality, after all you are buying a trailer that sells for $30,000-$37,000, not $75,000-$100,000. We bought ours knowing it was very light and didn't have solid counter tops and four-door fridg, two AC and a built-in generator. The only quality short-change I feel a little bad about in the size of the I-Beams that the trailer sits on, they are pretty small, probably to try and save weight, but small nevertheless.

We have a 2004, and there are very few quality issues with it, and certainly not staples showing anywhere, unless I'm totally blind. Could this be a Monday or Friday built unit, where somebody got sloppy ? How about trying to have a look at the same model at another dealer to compare, and/or contacting Jayco about the issue ? If you really like the unit, it would be a shame to pass it up just because one copy is low on QC.

I agree with trying to check the same model elsewhere for comparison purposes.
