Help please - fuzzy reception after hook-up

Trying to hook up television in our tt. Have everything in but get only fuzz on the screen and no sound. Have not used an antenna for years but in our area a video box is needed between the antenna and television for home use so i AM guessing this may be the problem. Any ideas? The tv does work in the house when hooked to our cable system...thanks.....happy camping!

Help please

Mine has a booster on it built in, you have a little button you push in and a light will come on. If that is not on then I get nothing over the antenna.

You may need to go to the menu on the television and let it tune in channels to "antenna".

Does the menu include b option for "source" That might be where you would find a submenu for the cable, component, antenna and other input source options.

Bayleightucker - the box you were given was most likely a digital signal converter for pre-digital TV tuners. You wont need that box for a flat screen TV built after 2008.

I wont assume anything....have you raised the antenna (crank), pointed the antenna towards the nearest town (using the fingerwheel around the crank) and used the "auto search" feature on your HDTV set?

If you hookup a set of "rabbit ears" to this television in question, do you receive anything? Your post says the TV works when it's attached to cable so it's obviously OK.

However, I'm not sure what you mean by the term "video box". Is this the Set Top Box (STB) for the cable TV, a digital to analog converter box or something else? Do any of your neighbors have outdoor TV antennas that are mounted high in the air on towers. If so, that could be an indicator as to why you're not able to receive any channels (and a good reason as to why you have cable).

If your TV is an old analog receiver, you're going to need a digital/analog converter box between the antenna and the set before you can see anything.
